WEATHER COOPERATES FOR THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND.

Record low likely tomorrow morning!

---------------

TODAY:  Becoming less humid and breezy.  Sun mixed with clouds at times.  High 72.

TONIGHT:  Clear, wind diminishes- and cold!  Low 43.  Record low at CLT is 45 set in 2005.

TOMORROW:  Sunny.  A few high clouds by evening.  High 74.

--------------

Dew points will fall like a rock today as drier air seeps in on an increasing wind from the northwest.  Speeds may hit 30 miles per hour in gusts this afternoon as highs only rise to within a few degrees of 70.  That's about 10 degrees below average.  The wind should drop off enough tonight to allow temperatures to bottom out at or below record values in the low and mid 40s.  Some spots could briefly hit the upper 30s if the wind goes calm for several hours.

Sunny skies, light winds and highs in the low to mid 70s tomorrow- delightful!  The clouds increase Saturday night leading to a mostly cloudy start to Sunday.  Clouds  may linger or push south out of the region during the day with highs in the mid 70s.

Next week steady warming will push highs to the upper 80s for Wednesday through Friday with only a low chance for thunderstorms.
