Golf champion Poulter teaches Mecklenburg Co. kids science of the game
Time Warner Cable teamed up with international golf champion Ian Poulter to host a golf clinic for students across Mecklenburg County. The theme is "The Science Behind Golf" and students learned how math and science play a huge role in the game.

The North Carolina Science Festival is all about inspiration. It's an initiative of Morehead Planetarium and Science Center, which reports fewer students than ever are pursuing careers in science. This festival is aimed at responding to the problem by getting children interested in science at a young age.
