CHARLOTTE--Police describe a car like a red Toyota Solara was involved in a fatal hit and run accident August 4 on Eastway Drive.

The victim, 54-year old Alvin Price was hit and killed as he crossed Eastway at about 10:00 p.m.

Police say after hitting Price, the driver made a u-turn and returned to the scene, before taking off.

Police report the two-door car's front passenger parking light was damaged and most of it will be missing.
