Ex-CMPD officer in prison on sexual assault charges to be released

CHARLOTTE – A former Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting six women while on duty is being released from prison Friday.
Marcus Jackson was sentenced to two years behind bars in 2010. He'll have to register as a sex offender.
Several lawsuits have been filed by the victims against the city of Charlotte and at least one has been settled.
