CHARLOTTE -- South Boulevard reopened Monday morning following an accident that killed a pedestrian Sunday night. Carlos Ramos, 31, was struck by an SUV while trying to cross the 6300 block of the road.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say the driver tried to avoid him and that the driver will not be charged.
