CHARLOTTE -- The Charlotte businessman planning to run across North Carolina for the Wounded Warrior Project said he still needs donations.

Starting Tuesday, Bob Weeks intends to run 464 miles from Asheville to Charlotte. Weeks has been preparing for months. He said despite receiving checks everyday, he still hasn't met his fundraiser goal.

Weeks said he doesn't plan on canceling his journey. Along the route, Weeks plans to run with several injured servicemen.

“That is going to be so inspirational to have them come and join with me and actually and i'm going to feel like I'm being carried,” said Weeks.

Weeks says he only raised $17,000. He said 100 percent of those donations will go to the Wounded Warrior Project.
