RALEIGH — The last 24-hour camp for 'Occupy' activists left in the state is being evacuated and cleaned up.
Members of Occupy Raleigh starting tearing down the camp site Sunday. They had been leasing the land on Hillsborough and Edenton streets for $400 a month. They decided in April that the camp had served its purpose.
Members said they will clean the site and plant some grass. They may also return occasionally for meetings.
