GREENSBORO — Another farmer's market is open in Greensboro.
The South Elm Urban Market started its season Sunday. Organizers started the market to give the community a place to buy fresh, local food and to to encourage foot traffic downtown.
"We want to promote 'strollability'. It's kid of a word we made up. Promote people coming downtown, visiting the farmer's market and then also eating at the local restaurants and visiting the local stores," said market manager Zeke Vantreese.
The South Elm Urban Market is in the Elm-McGee parking lot every Sunday from Noon to 5 p.m. through the end of November.
