App turns chores into a game
If you're having trouble getting the kids to do their chores this summer, this suite of apps and website can help.
By using two different apps, one for the parent and one for the child, Choremonster allows children to track chores on their own and choose when and how they will complete them. As your child completes certain tasks, they gain points which can be turned in for real life rewards such as an hour of Xbox, a TV show or even a camping trip.
Kids also get to collect monsters while doing their chores, which they can play games with and learn from.
Choremonster.com is currently free for users in their private beta but stay tuned, it will be released out to the public in the next few months.
