CHARLOTTE -- A student is being treated at the hospital after being hit by a car in southwest Charlotte Tuesday morning. Police say it happened at the intersection of Nations Ford Road and Lone Pine Lane at around 7 a.m.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg School officials say the child attends a charter school. There's no word yet on their name, age or condition.
