HIGH POINT—After being picked to finish third in the north division of the pre-season Big South standings, the High Point University Panthers have put together a historic year on the hardwood.

They are lead by a player who will have a leg up on the competition when it comes to surviving and advancing; not just in the upcoming post season tournaments, but in the game of life as well.

For the first time during their tenure in the Big South Conference, High Point will reign as regular season North Division champions. The Panthers clinched this past Tuesday and are currently sitting on a seven-game winning streak heading into Saturday's bracketbuster matchup with Morgan State.

Head Coach Scott Cherry is in his fourth year with the program.
