North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory appeared on MSNBC's "The Daily Rundown with Chuck Todd" Friday morning.

Gov. McCrory touched on a number of issues including the current tone and message of the Republican Party, medicaid and sequestration, which is a group of cuts to federal spending set to take effect on March 1, 2013.

The governor talked about the potential impact on the state, especially on military bases.

McCrory is in Washington, D.C. this weekend to attend the National Governors Association winter meeting.
