CHARLOTTE -- Winter weather in the Midwest has caused hundreds of flight delays and cancelations across the country.

Airports in Kansas, and flights from other states like Illinois, have been shut down because of the snow, which is impacting travel out of Charlotte, Raleigh and Greensboro. More cancelations could come due to more snow in the forecast.

If you're traveling to a Midwestern city, you should call your airline directly to check on your flight status before heading to the airport.
