GREENSBORO -- The Greensboro Performing Arts Center is closer to reality. Tuesday night, city council agreed to match the $20 million already pledged in private donations. The money will come from user fees, such as the county's hotel-motel tax and ticket costs.
The other $20 million for the $60 million project could come from state and federal grants. The project could be completed by 2016.
