BALD HEAD ISLAND, N.C.--A dead whale washed up on Bald Head Island again, after coming ashore Sunday night.

The pygmy sperm whale first beached itself Sunday morning.

A group of people on the beach spotted the whale and tried to help it.

They managed to push it back into the ocean, but it later died.

The whale came ashore again Sunday night or Monday morning and a stranding team is assessing the situation.
