Hip hop artists cancel NC concerts after death threats

CHARLOTTE -- A popular hip hop artist canceled concerts in Charlotte and Greensboro set this weekend after death threats. A Maybach Music Group concert tour headlining Rick Ross and featuring rappers Wale and Meek Mills were scheduled to appear Friday night in Greensboro and Saturday at the Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte.

A YouTube video released by the Gangster Disciples warns Ross to stay out of Charlotte. The Disciples are upset Ross mentions their symbols and founder to promote himself.

The Live Nation Entertainment Group released a statement stating tickets can be refunded Friday.
