CHARLOTTE -- Duke Energy is sending 1,200 crews to the Northeast to help with projected power outages because of Hurricane Sandy. But, none of those crews are coming from the Carolinas, at least for now.

All of the power crews are coming from Indiana and Florida. Crews from the Carolinas are being held back because of the winter weather storm hitting the mountains and effects of the hurricane on the coast.

Duke officials say they'll re-evaluate later in the week the possibility of sending additional crews.
