CHARLOTTE--Tens of thousands of people are heading to the Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend to check over 2,000 show cars taking over the infield.
Its a part of the 19th annual Goodguys Southeastern Nationals, which has cars that look a little different from ones usually racing on the track.
About 2,500 show cars, vintage classics, muscle cars and hot rods, all in pristine condition.
Those at the event said the speedway and the Charlotte region is a great spot to host the event, because of the area's involvement and interest in motorsports.
"But motorsports is not just about NASCAR, there are a lot of facets to motorsports and this is another facet and unique angle that we love to present every year,” said Jonathan Coleman with Charlotte Motor Speedway.
The auto show will be going on all day on Saturday and will run until about 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.
