RALEIGH--It may not be March, but for Wolfpack fans it seemed the madness has already started after Friday night's “Primetime with the Pack” event.
"This year is going to be a lot better even better than last year,” said Wolfpack fan Shelby Holler.
PNC Arena was loud Friday for the Wolfpack tip off event. And with N.C. State making some noise in the preseason polls, fans are excited.
"We got a great coach and great players. Altogether its going to be a great season," said Wolfpack fan Fred Chavis.
The 2012-2013 season is one that Wolfpack fans hope can be just as exciting as last year.
"We want to keep the hype going. We want to keep winning and just see it continue," said Wolfpack fan Seth Williams.
N.C. State was one of several area teams that held events Friday to signal the beginning of college basketball.
The Wolfpack's first game isn't until November, but if Friday's crowd was any indication, fans might not be able to wait that long for the first game.
Second-year head coach Mark Gottfried is hoping to get his team ready for the upcoming season, after losing last season in the Sweet 16 to Kansas.
Fans at the Primetime with the Pack event were confident in their team and hope the Wolfpack will make it even further in the upcoming season.
