RALEIGH--More North Carolina teachers are leaving their jobs.

According to a report released on Thursday by the State Board of Education, 12 percent of teachers left the state's school systems in 2011.

That's up from 11 percent and the report showed that retirement was the biggest reason.

Less than one percent of people who left said it was because they were unhappy with their jobs.

A majority of the systems also said they had trouble finding high school math teachers.
