CHARLOTTE -- Some Piedmont Airlines flight attendants working under US Airways Express want to strike. Their union, the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, requested permission Monday from the National Mediation Board.
The flight attendants have been in contract negotiations with US Airways and in mediation for the last year. The board must rule that talks between the sides have failed, then issue a 30-day cooling off period before any strike.
