Time Warner Cable reaches deal to carry NFL Network, Red Zone Channel

The NFL Network is coming to Time Warner Cable.

The companies have signed a multi-year agreement that allows Time Warner Cable to carry the NFL -owned network and the Red Zone Channel. The channels will become available to Time Warner Cable customers beginning this Sunday.

A full launch of both channels is scheduled before next Thursday.

The chief video and content officer for Time Warner Cable says the company looks forward to a long and productive relationship with the NFL. Executive vice president Melinda Witmer says, "the additional games this year and the proven appeal of NFL Red Zone will certainly prove to be a draw for our customers."

The NFL Network will be available to digital basic customers and the Red Zone Channel will be available with a Sports Pass subscription.

In the Carolinas, NFL Network will be available to digital customers on channel 498 and in HD on 1498. Customers who subscribe to Sports Pass can watch NFL RedZone on channel 499 and in HD on 1499. Digital customers that do not subscribe to Sports Pass can order Sports Pass instantly with their remote control and have immediate access to Sports Pass channels.
