CHARLOTTE--Charlotte Mecklenburg Police arrested 53-year-old Sugar Robinson for his involvement in a stabbing in east Charlotte.

Police said Robinson and another man were outside a home on Parson Street drinking when they started to argue.

Robinson then stabbed the victim several times in the stomach, chest and the arm.

The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Robinson faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon.
