Masked man wanted in string of early morning robberies

CHARLOTTE -- Police say a masked robber hit a string of convenience stores across Charlotte early Thursday morning.
Authorities say the suspect entered four stores wearing a Frankenstein mask and demanded money from the cashiers. The robberies took place within an hour of each other at stores located on Harris Boulevard, Albemarle Road, the Plaza and Mallard Creek Road.
No one was hurt. The suspect is on the loose. No other details have been released.
