CHARLOTTE--A Charlotte school has been named a national “Blue Ribbon School.”

Park Road Montessori was recognized for academic excellence.

Only 219 public schools and 50 private schools across the U.S. received the honor.

Park Road Montessori was the only school awarded in the Charlotte area.

All schools will be recognized at a ceremony in Washington D.C. in November.
