CHARLOTTE -- Nearly a dozen people are behind bars after blocking a busy street in uptown Charlotte Tuesday evening. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officials say 10 demonstrators from the group, "No Papers, No Fear, Right for Justice" were arrested at 5th and College streets.

They say the demonstrators physically blocked the roadway by sitting in the intersection and refusing to move.

A CMPD spokesperson says no one was injured during the demonstration. The persons arrested are charged with impeding traffic.
