CHARLOTTE--A funeral will be held Saturday for a 13-year-old boy who was shot and killed this week.

Community members released hundreds of red and white balloons at a vigil Wednesday night for Khalil Cousart.

Cousart was killed Tuesday morning near Tuckaseegee Road and Parkway Avenue.

Damien Wright, 16, was charged in the shooting, and police say the teens knew each other.

Cousart's funeral is set for 2:00 p.m. at Temple Church International on Tuckaseegee Road.
