CHARLOTTE--Attorneys in the Leah Walton involuntary manslaughter trial are expected to make closing arguments Monday morning.
Police say Walton was distracted and reaching for cigarettes when she slammed into Susan Karabulut and Lisa Mcie in 2010.
Karabulut died from injuries.
Both the prosecution and the defense will make closing arguments, then it will be up to a jury of twelve to decide Walton's fate.
Walton is charged with several counts, including involuntary manslaughter and reckless driving.
If she's convicted, she could be sentenced to a minimum of three-and-a-half years in prison.
