CHARLOTTE – A $10,000 reward is being offered for information about the murder of a Charlotte man.
Matthew Hawkins was shot in the face at his home on East 17th Street near uptown Charlotte July 1. He died two days later. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said someone broke into the home and demanded money from Hawkins and his girlfriend. She was not injured.
Tuesday, The Treadstone Group added $5,000 to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Crime Stoppers reward.
