CHARLOTTE – Charlotte Bobcats owner Michael Jordan participated in a charity golf event Thursday to raise money for Charlotte area youth.

The 10th Annual Hooptees Celebrity Golf Classic was held at the golf club at Ballantyne. Hooptees Charities is a non profit corporation started by Bobcats president and COO Fred Whitfield to provide opportunities to underprivileged kids across the state.

Before teeing off, Jordan divulged the Bobcats are exploring several options in order to improve a team that went an NBA worst seven and 59 last season.

“We got a lot of things on the table,” said Jordan. “You know the one thing about the staff is they've been working diligently to try improve our franchise and improve our team. There isn't a deal out there that we're not having conversations about. So I'll leave it at that because we're still in the midst of some of these things. We're going to do everything we can to keep getting better.”

Nearly 30 celebrities joined Jordan for the charity golf event.
