CHARLOTTE – Angela Taylor wore a T-shirt with her daughter's picture on it to face the man who admitted to stabbing the young woman last year.

"She was a humble person looking for love in all the wrong places and she met Lucifer," Taylor said.

Ebony Taylor was 24 when her boyfriend, Gregory Scott Parker stabbed her more than six times at a house off Lambrook Court last July.

Thursday, Parker pleaded guilty to second degree murder and was sentenced to a maximum of 26 years in prison.

"That's nothing for murder and taking her away from her children and her family, especially her children,” Angela Taylor said.

Ebony Taylor left behind four young children - and a host of relatives who showed up at court to sound off about Parker's plea deal.

"I do not agree with the fact that he got second degree murder, because he planned it,” Angela Taylor said. “He planned it. It was premeditated all day long."

She said she wanted Parker to get the death penalty.

"He killed my daughter. I wanted him dead."

In emotional statements before a judge, Taylor's father said Parker would kill again.

"He is an animal," said Ray Brandon.
Relatives say the case is a sad reminder of the impact of domestic violence.

"It's senseless,” said Ebony Taylor's younger sister Alisha. “Because at the end of the day it's the kids that don't have a mother."
