CONCORD -- Kasey Kahne powered to victory in the Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday night, winning NASCAR's longest race for the third time for his first win with Hendrick Motorsports.

Kahne also gave car owner Rick Hendrick his 201st Sprint Cup series win.

Kahne crossed the finish line nearly 5 seconds ahead of Denny Hamlin. Kyle Busch was third and series points leader Greg Biffle fourth.

It was Kahne's 13th career win and his first since last November in Phoenix.

Hendrick drivers were all near the top. Dale Earnhardt Jr. was sixth, and Jeff Gordon seventh, just his third top 10 finish of the season.

Danica Patrick was 30th, her best Sprint Cup finish.

Hendrick teams unstoppable in Sprint Cup

Rick Hendrick says he made a mistake last year, something the owner's teams haven't done much lately.

Hendrick acknowledged he added pressure to his programs when he spoke of win No. 200 so soon after Jimmie Johnson collected the 199th victory at Kansas last October. Then came the lost chances and missed opportunities that stung Hendrick's four teams until Darlington Raceway earlier this month, when Johnson earned the milestone win.

Since then, the Hendrick cars have been unstoppable. Johnson won the NASCAR All-Star race at Charlotte Motor Speedway last week before Kasey Kahne won his first race with Hendrick in Sunday night's Coca-Cola 600.

Hendrick is working on a new goal now: having all four of his cars in NASCAR's championship chase. Don't bet against him.

Patrick says she's learning, but it will take time

Danica Patrick emerged from her bright green No. 10 car Sunday night with a smile.

No, she didn't win. Not even close.

She finished five laps down in 30th in NASCAR's longest race, the Coca-Cola 600. That hardly mattered to Patrick, who completed her third Sprint Cup race without wrecking, another step in her stock car career.

"This is still good experience for me and that's what this is all about," said Patrick.

Patrick says she got nostalgic earlier in the day watching the Indianapolis 500 on television and is considering running both races in the same day at some point.

For now, Patrick is done with Sprint Cup racing for a while. Her next race is Aug. 25 at Bristol.
