CHARLOTTE -- West Mecklenburg High School is operating on a two-hour delay Wednesday. Power to the school was knocked out by Tuesday night's storms.

Officials had originally said Duke Energy would not be able to restore power until Wednesday afternoon and that the school would be closed. But they now say power has been restored and that buses will start picking up students at 9 a.m. and that classes will begin at 10 a.m.
