CHARLOTTE -- Lowe's is reporting higher profits. The nation's second largest home improvement company says earnings increased 14 percent in the first quarter helped in part by the warmer weather.
The Mooresville-based company reported net income of $527 million compared to $461 million during the same period last year. Revenue climbed 8 percent to $13 billion.
However, the company remains cautious about the housing market and lowered its full year earnings forecast.
