CHARLOTTE – Mayor Anthony Foxx will announce a new safety and security initiative Monday at the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

He'll be joined by representatives from several local and federal agencies, including the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department and the Charlotte Area Transit System.
