CHARLOTTE -- This weekend will mark the official grand opening of the 7th Street Public Market in uptown Charlotte. It's a non-profit market located right off the Lynx light rail where shoppers can buy locally grown and locally made food.
Charlotte Center City Partners was turned down for $1 million in public money to fund the market after Reid's grocery store moved out. So, the organization found sponsors like Carolinas Healthcare System to help pay for the market.
