CHARLOTTE — A mosaic designed by 100 local artists was dedicated at Presbyterian Hospital Thursday night.

The canvases were donated to the cancer center through Project Art Aid. Several breast cancer survivors helped design some of the pieces. Creators hope it will lift the spirits of those who see it.

“Having it here in our lobby, it's a source of inspiration hope. Feeling there are others thinking about them that gave their time and talent to create something beautiful they can view everyday,” said Presbyterian Hospital spokesperson Barbara Lipira

Breast cancer survivors delivered Valentines to the artists to show their appreciation of the project.
