CHARLOTTE – A woman accused of abusing her 5-month-old daughter made her first appearance in court Friday.
Lodonna Parlier, of Conover, is charged with five counts of child abuse, five counts of child neglect and four counts of contributing to the delinquency of a child.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say they were called to Carolinas Medical Center on Thursday morning to investigate an allegation of abuse after sources say Parlier tampered with the baby girl's IV. At last report, the baby was listed as stable.
The woman's husband told News 14 Carolina he didn't know anything about the alleged abuse and he never suspected anything.
Parlier was assigned a public defender. Her bond hearing is scheduled for Feb. 15.
