CHARLOTTE -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating a shooting at a restaurant. They say an employee at Cottage Express Chinese Food on North Graham Street near uptown Charlotte was shot during a robbery just after 9 p.m. Wednesday.

They say the suspect shot the employee, stole cash out of the register then ran off. The victim's injuries are not life-threatening.
