CHERRY POINT, N.C. -- The Marine Corps is celebrating its 236th birthday Thursday. Bases across the nation will hold different events to ring in the milestone date including the annual Marine Corps Birthday Ball.

Earlier this week at Cherry Point, where a pageant was held to showcase the Marines different uniforms throughout history. A ceremony was also held honoring past and present Marines.
