CHARLOTTE -- Charlotte City Council approved a $500,000 contract between Charlotte-Douglas International Airport and Medic. The agreement will staff Medic inside the airport 24 hours a day.
Officials say it will improve response time and enhance medical care at the airport. Airport police now act as first responders.
The contract is for one year, with an option for a two-year extension.
