RALEIGH – The State Court of Appeals denied the University of North Carolina's petition to delay the release of records revolving around the NCAA investigation into the UNC football team.

A number of media outlets, including News 14 Carolina, sued for the release of the documents and, in April, Judge Howard Manning sided with the media on most issues.

Requested documents include cell phone records, names and salaries of UNC tutors, parking ticket records and any university-led investigations into athletes, coaches, tutors or boosters.

UNC cited the privacy concerns of its students in its appeal saying it has been forthcoming and already released more than 23,000 pages of documents.
