RALEIGH — The All-Star hockey players hit the ice for their game on Sunday, but you have the chance to take play a few games of your own on Saturday.

The NHL All-Star Fan Fair festival is in full swing. The events started Saturday morning with the NHL All-Star 5k at the RBC Center benefiting the Kids 'n Community Foundation. There is a lot going on Saturday, from a chance to meet NHL mascots, to chats with referees, to an opportunity to take a picture with the Stanley Cup.

There will also be chances to meet NHL players. NHL All-Star wide open will also be going on Saturday. That will include a series of free concerts and a street party festival on Fayetteville and Cabarrus Streets, similar to Raleigh Wide Open.

The big event Saturday is the Super Skills competition at 7 p.m. That will include skill tests like fastest skater, hardest shot and accuracy shooting.
