Annual blanket drive kicks off in Orange County

CHAPEL HILL – The seventh annual "Blanket Orange County" kicks off this week. It's an annual blanket drive for the homeless.

Organizers say they are looking for 400 new or used blankets for halfway houses in the area until December 3rd.

New and used blankets can be dropped of at the following places in Chapel Hill:

- The Chapel Hill-Carrboro YMCA on Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard, 980 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd.

- The Children's Center at Carol Woods, 7511 Sunrise Road

- The Orange County Visitor's Bureau, 501 W. Franklin St., Chapel Hill

- The Wellness Center at Meadowmont

Cash donations can be made payable to Blanket Orange County and mailed to: Blanket Orange County, C/O Business Class Inc., P.O. Box 2037, Chapel Hill, NC 27515.
