CHARLOTTE -- Leaders in the fight against domestic violence met Thursday in Charlotte to discuss ways to work together to keep their programs viable. The North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence sponsored a training session for executive directors from across the state.
"This is being facilitated by a group of women who have had more than two decades worth of experience doing this work," said April Burgess-Johnson from the Coalition. "It's a time for people to really share those challenges that they've experienced and to get some learning from their colleagues in this room."
The session continues Friday at the Hal Marshall Center in uptown Charlotte.
