Let's Cook: Jalapeno hot sauce

INGREDIENTS:


• Jalapeno peppers (quantity depends on amount of heat desired)
• 2 cups apple cider vinegar
• Juice from 2 limes
• 1 small onion, chopped
• 6 cloves garlic, rough-chopped
• 1 tsp salt
• ¼ cup cilantro
• ½ tsp fresh cracked black pepper

PROCEDURE:


1) Prepare the peppers by removing the stems and quarter them lengthwise. Remove the ribs and seeds and ten cut into a medium dice.
2) Add vinegar, peppers, lime juice, onion, salt and garlic to a sauce pan.
3) Bring it to a boil then let simmer for 10 minutes.
4) Carefully put the hot liquid into a blender then add cilantro and black pepper.
5) Puree the mixture and put into a jar or bottle and refrigerate.

HINTS:


1) Make a lot and keep it stored for future meals.
2) Goes great on anything you like hot sauce with – fried chicken or greens to name a few.
