CHARLOTTE – Police charged a fourth person Monday night in connection with a double shooting over the weekend at a Charlotte motel.

Salena Harris now faces murder, attempted murder and various robbery charges. Wendell Lamaitre, Damien Bond and Lauren English were arrested Sunday on the same charges.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say Keith Cox and Clayton King were shot Sunday morning at the Budget Inn, off North Graham Street and Interstate 85.

Cox was killed and King was transported to CMC-Main, where at last check he was listed in serious condition. Family members say Cox was the victim of a botched robbery attempt.

Three of the suspects are expected to make their first court appearances Tuesday.
