THOMASVILLE, N.C—A member of the motorsports community raises money for Victory Junction and the Childress Institute.

CV Products held its third annual benefit at its headquarters in Thomasville on Saturday. Hundreds of people gathered in a classic car competition, others enjoyed a petting zoo, some took rides on a pony, while a few took splash in the dunking booth. The event kicked off with a 5K run/walk and ended with a NASCAR memorabilia auction and live music.

Last year they raised $20,000 and they hope to raise even more this year.

“The purpose of putting this event on is: one to bring awareness to CV Products, who we are and what we do; and two the causes we support. Everybody has ties to children in some way, shape, or form. So to do something for two organizations that support children is important to us,” said Melissa Blackwell, CV Products Marketing.

Victory Junction is a free, year-round camp for kids with special needs. The Childress Institute for Pediatric Trauma is dedicated to treating and preventing life-threatening injuries to children.
