CONCORD, N.C. -- Operation Save America is planning a rally and news conference at Cox Mill High School, one of 50 stops the anti-abortion group is planning Tuesday.

The nationwide rallies are in honor of Jim Pouillon, who was shot and killed in September while protesting outside a Michigan high school.

According to the group’s Twitter page, supporters will rally with "graphic signs on sidewalks in front of high schools to expose the truth about abortion to our nation's children."

According to one parent’s e-mail to News 14 Carolina, the school contacted parents by phone to let them know the demonstrators do not reflect the views of the school system.

The school plans to have extra police on hand.
