RALEIGH – With less than a week from her official welcome as North Carolina's first female governor, Bev Perdue announced three more members of her Cabinet.

Gene Conti will serve as chief deputy at the Department of Transportation. Keith Crisco will serve as commerce secretary. And Linda Carlisle will head the Department of Cultural Resources.

Perdue said her appointments will help grow North Carolina in the tough time.

"They are all in their own way a leader who can get bottom-line results, and those results are tremendously important to me and to North Carolina," Perdue said. "And they all have a proven ability to make things happen."

Perdue still has four Cabinet-level vacancies to fill.
